Attractions near to The Coppice

Near and Around Denmark

There are plenty of places to visit that are close to Denmark....

Denmark

A small but beautiful town

Only 10 minutes drive from The Coppice is the town of Denmark. The town caters for just about every need from grocery shops, newsagents, gift shops, galleries, flowers, pizza, petrol, local police and of course the tackle shop to get what you need to catch that big fish.

The local people are friendly and happy to tell you about the town and the good spots for fishing, scenery, walking or anything else you may care to do.

If you do not get that great catch of fish there are plenty of places to get a bite to eat from take-away, restaurant, the tavern, pizza and cafes. Gift shops are aplenty and if you need it internet access is available from several locations within the town. Make sure you also visit the Denmark Visitors Centre and get some local knowledge of Denmark.

Greens Pool

Greens Pool

A must see attraction for any visitors to Denmark. About a 10 minute drive from The Coppice accessible from William Bay Road. Once parked there is a track, take the right in the fork in the road and you will come to Greens Pool. The formation of the rocks provides a pool-like area great for swimming, just viewing or even a snorkel.

Elephant Rocks

While you're at Greens Pool make sure you take the track to the left to view the Elephant Rocks, another must see for anyone visiting Denmark. To the left of the Elephant Rocks are some rocky deep pools that are great for fishing for the more experienced fishing enthusiast and the small beach makes a great paddle beach for the youngsters - just keep an eye on the tide.

Waterfall Beach

Waterfall Beach

Also accessible via William Bay Road however you will turn east instead of going to the car park for Greens Pool, follow that track to the car park for Waterfall Beach. It is a beautiful beach that is family friendly along the sandy beach and also has some great fishing spots off the rocks. But always keep an eye on the ocean, especially in rougher weather.

To the west of Waterfall beach is Madfish Bay, so while you're there take a walk and guess how it got it's name.

Parry Beach/William Bay

Parry Beach/William Bay

About a 25 minute drive west from The Coppice is Parrys Beach Road that leads to Parrys Beach and William Bay. This is the opposite side of William Bay as Greens Pool is that gives four wheel drive access to a lovely long stretching beach with great sandy areas to both swim and/or fish. Access to four wheel drives is from the camping/caravan park, just let someone know you are going to the beach if going by four wheel drive and as always be safe and keep an eye on the tides.

Not far from Denmark

A little further to drive but well worth the drive to these fantastic locations

Tree Top Walk

The Tree Top Walk

If there is only one thing you do in Denmark this must be it. It is a about a 30 minute drive west from The Coppice along the South Coast Highway. There is an admission fee for entry, however if you are a family there is a single family pass that is valid all day. Most visitors will take two to three walks around the canopy to soak it all in so give yourself plenty of time to wander through the canopy of the trees, you will not be disappointed. A small shop for souvenirs, ice cream and maps is available as well as general amenities.

Conspicuous Cliffs/Beach

Conspicuous Cliffs/Beach

If you're into a bit of a walk it is well worth it, climb to the top of the cliff (tracks marked) and take a view out over the Southern Ocean. While you're there go to the beach below and have a swim in the Great Southern Ocean. Kids will love this location as it is wide and open and great for running and swimming.
